Josh D’Amaro, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman, said in a recent interview that Disney is ready to reopen the Disneyland Resort theme parks as soon as California guidelines allow.
In a statement made on “The Dow Report”, he said, “…we don’t have any California guidelines for opening. And as soon as a date and those guidelines are set, I can tell you we’re ready.”
D’Amaro also discussed the systems, technologies, and measures in place at Disney parks to keep guests and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those include the new Disney Park Pass system, Mobile Order at dining locations, and queue reservations at shopping locations.
Both parks at the Disneyland Resort have recently installed plexiglass safety shields at the entry turnstiles in preparation for reopening.
