The Three Caballeros are reunited and back in business! It’s been a somber week for the Gran Fiesta Tour since the ride was missing one of its main stars. But the José Carioca animatronic has returned to the Mexico Pavilion attraction. The animatronics for Donald Duck, Panchito Pistoles, and José Carioca are together again for the final scene of the ride.
The Gran Fiesta Tour is a slow-moving boat journey with the Three Caballeros showing landmarks in Mexico. The ride is fun for all ages and features the classic Disney birds.
Over a week ago, Epcot guests could see that one of the Three Caballeros was down for the count. For a few days, those who rode the Gran Fiesta Tour at Epcot could only see Donald Duck and Panchito Pistoles. The animatronic for José Carioca was missing from the final scene of the attraction.
The José animatronic was gone for a while due to its technical issues from over a week ago. Back then, Epcot guests made note how José was failing to operate as usual. Several fans shared videos and photos of the downed animatronic. We don’t know what created the issue, but Disney has fixed José Carioca!
