Jon Favreau Confirms A Second Season For Disney+ Series The Mandalorian. While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jon Favreau discussed his work on Disney’s Live-Action The Lion King and the future of The Mandalorian on Disney+.
“We’re done with the first season,” Favreau told Jimmy. “I’m actually writing part of the second season now.”
Woo hoo! Disney+ is set to premiere later this year, but the news of a second season already in production is promising for The Mandalorian. Disney must see great potential in the series to green light a second season before the pilot premieres.

Favreau goes on to confirm more than a second season of the series. He also confirmed The Mandalorian will take place after Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
“All hell is breaking loose in the outer rim, and it’s about the scum and villainy that now wants to take out the rule of law. What happens? Chaos takes over,” Favreau said.
We can’t wait for the premiere of Disney+ later this year and to check out all the amazing content, such as The Mandalorian, coming exclusively to Disney+!
