Johnny Depp Makes Surprise Appearance as Captain Jack Sparrow at Children’s Hospital

Johnny Depp recently delighted young patients at a children’s hospital with a surprise visit as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Johnny Depp, the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, made a surprise appearance at Donostia University Hospital in Spain while attending a film premiere.

US Weekly shared a video of the encounter on TikTok. It shows Depp, dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, posing with hospital employees for photos. He is also shown putting on a facemask before heading to a different part of the hospital, presumably to visit patients.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” films were inspired by the popular attraction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Initially, Captain Jack Sparrow wasn’t part of the original story. However, he was added to the attraction in 2006, becoming a beloved character. Guests can meet Captain Jack Sparrow in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom near Tortuga Treasures. At Disneyland, he can be found in New Orleans Square.
