Johnny Depp and Amber Heard $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit Delayed Once Again. Back in September, the Depp vs. Heard defamation lawsuit was delayed from January 2021 to May 2021, but now in February the suit has been pushed back once more.
The May 7, 2021 court date has been pushed back to April 11, 2022 due to the advancement of a murder trial in Virginia. Criminal cases have taken priority over civil suits across the US as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread. Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard have been in a series of suits in both the US and UK, with varying outcomes.
