Have Mercy! John Stamos Takes on the TRON Lightcycle Run “Try Not to React” Challenge
Even for a seasoned star like John Stamos, keeping a “poker face” on the Grid is easier said than done. During a recent visit to Walt Disney World, the Full House icon stepped up to the plate for Disney’s “Try Not to React” challenge on one of the resort’s most thrilling attractions: TRON Lightcycle Run.

The Challenge: Can Uncle Jesse Keep His Cool?
Disney challenged Stamos to maintain a completely neutral expression while hurtling through the digital frontier. He started the ride with impressive focus—deadpan eyes and a stoic jawline—even as his Lightcycle launched into the high-speed outdoor canopy.

However, as the G-forces kicked in and the ride swept back into the show building, the “cool” exterior began to crack. Between the wind in his hair and the sheer speed of the race through the Grid, Stamos’ transformation from “stoic statue” to “pure joy” is a must-watch.

What is TRON Lightcycle Run?
Located in Magic Kingdom Park, TRON Lightcycle Run is a high-speed coaster inspired by the 2010 film TRON: Legacy. Guests “digitize” into the Grid and join Team Blue to compete against the fierce Programs of Team Orange.
- The Experience: Guests board individual Lightcycles, leaning forward in a motorcycle-style seating position.
- The Race: You must navigate through eight Energy Gates to secure victory for your team.
- The Visuals: The ride features a massive “Upload Conduit” canopy that glows as you transition between the indoor digital world and the outdoor track.

Limited Time: The TRON: Ares Overlay
If you want to ride like Stamos, timing is everything. Back in September, Disney debuted a special overlay to celebrate the upcoming film TRON: Ares.
For a limited time, the signature “Team Blue” aesthetic has been hacked. The ride’s iconic blue lights have been replaced with a menacing red glow, reflecting the aesthetic of the new movie. If you want to experience this high-stakes, crimson version of the Grid, act fast—the TRON: Ares overlay is scheduled to end in January.
