Encanto 2? John Leguizamo Hints at Possible Sequel
John Leguizamo, who lent his voice to Bruno in the 2021 hit “Encanto,” has voiced his support for a sequel. Speaking to PEOPLE, he quipped that he’s “waiting for an ‘Encanto 2’ when all we do is talk about Bruno,” referencing the film’s wildly popular song.

Although Disney has yet to confirm an “Encanto” sequel, John Leguizamo revealed he’s actively advocating for one, stating, “I’m calling them every day saying ‘When is number 2 coming?’ They’re trying to come up with the storyline. They’re working on it.” The original “Encanto,” featuring songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, premiered in theaters on November 21, 2021. Notably, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” achieved significant chart success, reaching number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing “Let It Go” from “Frozen.”

“Encanto” tells the story of the Madrigal family, residing in a magical house, Casita, nestled in the Colombian mountains. While each family member possesses a unique gift, Mirabel, voiced by Stephanie Beatriz, does not. When the magic protecting their home falters, Mirabel discovers she may be the key to saving her family.
