The phrase “It’s five o’clock somewhere” took on a whole new meaning yesterday at the brand-new Margaritaville Hotel, when Jimmy Buffet took to the stage in a surprise pop-up concert for resort guests. Appearing just after five p.m., Jimmy Buffet led the thrilled crowd in sing-a-long renditions of favorites such as ‘Volcano,’ the eponymous ‘Margaritaville,’ and, of course, ‘Five O’Clock Somewhere.’
The Margaritaville Hotel, which opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 23, is just one component of Margaritaville Resort Orlando–a vacation destination that will include 900 cottage homes, 35+ retail, dining, and entertainment experiences, and a technologically advanced water park when it opens fully later this spring.
