Cinderella Castle is moving right along on its 50th-anniversary makeover. We were at the Magic Kingdom today and noticed that the turrets on the main castle structure are complete. With the addition of jewels just above the corbel of the towers. A corbel is a stone bracket projecting from a wall or corner to support a beam or simply for decoration. ( The more you know…).
We were able to grab a bunch of photos for you to see the progress of the castle as work is being done. The ribbon has been attached to the main turrets, the stage is almost complete, and the draperies are hanging. All this work is being done for the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary coming October 1, 2021. Disney is billing it as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”

The new castle redesign features a bolder blue color on the spires and gold accents on top. The inner curtain of the castle also features a new pink hue to help bring new colors to the castle. The drawings show that the flanking towers will also have the same ribbon as the main turrets although not done yet.
