Jeff Vahle & Disney Cast Members got a sneak peek of the new Moana-themed rooms at Polynesian Resort. They shared with us some awesome photos. 2 of the oldest Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort, Pluto and Goofy showed up to check out the changes also. We were pleased to share images from cast members the other day. Now we have a few more to share with you from Cast Members who also got the special tour.
Jeff Vahle is the President of Walt Disney World Resort, who took over for Josh D’Amaro who stepped up to become Chairman of Disney Parks, Experience, and Products. This shake-up happened last year in May.
Aloha! Cast Members soaked in all the new details inside the Guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at a Cast-exclusive open “mouse”! Some of our characters even stopped by to peek inside and surprise Cast from the patios. Each room is inspired by the Pacific Ocean, including patterns and textures from “Moana.”
Polynesian Resort has been closed for well over a year now, shutting down at the same time as all the other resorts when the pandemic hit. It never reopened with the rest of Disney World Resort, except for the Polynesian Villas and Bungalows for DVC members. Also, open at the Polynesian is the Lava pool, Capt. Cooks, Tambu Lounge Pineapple Lanai, and Kona Café. Ohana remains closed along with Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.
Jeff Vahle & Disney Cast Members shared their stories on both Instagram and on Twitter. You can read Jeff’s tweet below, and check out the Walt Disney Worlds cast members’ Facebook here.
