Jeff Goldblum Teases New Collaboration with ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Director Taika Waititi. Jeff Goldblum and director Taika Waititi first worked together on Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok and the pair quickly became friends. At the end of the film, we do not see what happens to Goldblum’s character, The Grandmaster, so there is a good chance we will see the eccentric entity in a future Marvel title. Waititi on the other hand has been working on many projects since the films debut, most notably to Disney fans, Waititi has starred and directed in multiple episodes of The Mandalorian streaming now on Disney+.
During a recent interview, Goldblum was asked by Insider if he would consider appearing in The Mandalorian, pending an invitation from Waititi, and Goldblum took the opportunity to share that he is looking at doing something much bigger that just a guest appearance in the mega-popular Star Wars series with the award winning director. Goldblum stated, “I’m a fan of it! I’m a fan, of course, of Taika Waititi. I adore him, always did before I even worked with him, and maybe we’ll do something again together. We’ve talked about doing something else that has to be secret right now but I would do anything with him, sure.”
Though his future in Marvel and Star Wars may not be certain, Goldblum has been keeping busy since his time on set for Thor: Ragnarok. Jeff Goldblum currently hosts his own original series on Disney+ called The World According to Jeff Goldblum and is filming Jurassic World: Dominion for Universal Studios.
