Jamie Lee Curtis’ character of Madame Leota appears briefly in her mortal state in the film. The costume she wears is the one on display. The costume is comprised of an elaborate red robe with gem-encrusted trim, and a large circular headdress.
The robe is exquisitely embroidered with white beads and flower designs. The mannequin is also holding Leota’s peacock feather fan from the film. The headdress is also embroidered and features white fringe dangling across the forehead.
Behind the costume is a backdrop featuring the purple wallpaper from the Haunted Mansion attraction. Next to the costume you’ll see a crystal ball on a stand. That’s the crystal ball we typically see Madame Leota’s floating head in.
Inside The Disney Gallery you’ll also see framed concept art showing different scene designs for Gracey Manor in “Haunted Mansion.”
Take some time to look around the gallery and really appreciate the artistry that goes into Disney’s films and attractions.
