It’s a small world clock in the Magic Kingdom gets a makeover. When “it’s a small world” was refurbished back in 2005, the Imagineers at Disney decided that the facade should match Disneyland’s version. They painted everything in a white and gold color scheme in the queue area, that matched its west coast rendition. Looks like that experiment is over.
We were at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and got a chance to see the new color scheme and facade of the world-famous clock tower. It is enjoyable to watch and look at the clock with the new colors added. Overnight a facelift happened and the clock tower now has many different shades of blue and has a splash of glitter in some of the moving parts. Moreover, this makes the tower eye-catching and fun to see. The gold remains on some parts also.

Below you can watch the Instagram post we shared. We were there exactly at 3:45 PM when the striking clock went off. We got to see the tower open and the bells start chiming.
The refurbishment is all part of the Walt DIsney World Resort 50th anniversary. The folks at Disney have been doing an amazing job getting the park in tip-top shape for guests who are coming to celebrate “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
