The magic of the islands is coming to life at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows with the highly anticipated Island Tower, now just two months away from its grand opening on December 17, 2024! As construction continues at a rapid pace, the theming is truly starting to shine, offering a sneak peek into the tower’s adventurous Polynesian spirit.

From the exterior, there’s plenty of progress to see as the finishing touches are being applied to the room balconies, which will soon offer stunning views of the surrounding tropical paradise. Concrete is also being laid for the new sidewalks, hinting at the beautiful pathways that will soon guide visitors through the lush, immersive grounds. In addition, the entrance overhang is being worked on, promising a grand welcome for guests stepping into this Polynesian retreat.

This stunning new addition to Disney Vacation Club promises to immerse guests in the rich stories and cultures of the islands, making it a perfect getaway for families looking for a tropical retreat right in the heart of Walt Disney World. The Island Tower will feature an array of accommodations, from cozy Duo Studios designed for two, all the way to exquisite 2-Bedroom Penthouse Villas, each infused with Polynesian-inspired themes that celebrate the elements of earth, water, and sky.

As the exterior begins to reflect the culture of Polynesia, guests can already see the intricate patterning inspired by Polynesian tattoos that tell island stories, and the stunning lobby is taking shape. Inside, a three-story mural, themed to the sea and sky, will greet visitors—complete with some of our favorite characters from Moana. Guests will also enjoy exclusive access to four themed gardens, each offering spectacular views and cozy seating areas, perfect for watching Magic Kingdom’s fireworks.

As for the amenities? Prepare to be wowed! The Island Tower will boast a brand-new Cove Pool, with a sandy beach area and views of Seven Seas Lagoon. Little ones can splash around in Moana’s Voyage, a water play area featuring Moana and her iconic canoe. And for a bite to eat, guests can enjoy the tropical-inspired Wailulu Bar & Grill, with breathtaking views of Cinderella Castle.
