Is The FastPass System Being Restructured for Toy Story Land?

With the opening of Toy Story Land on the horizon, everyone is wondering how the FastPass system is going to be affected.

As many already know, there is a 60-day window in which “on property” guests can begin to schedule their FastPass selections. With Toy Story Land’s opening scheduled for June 30th, we are still outside of that window. However, earlier this year, Disney began offering an option to Club-Level guests to purchase additional FastPasses and in addition schedule their selections 90 days prior to check-in.

April 1st began the 90-day window for Club Level guests purchasing additional FastPasses and it has brought to light some of the restructuring of the FastPass system at Hollywood Studios. While nothing has been confirmed by Disney, we do have some insight from DisBoards user “MrInfinity” who claims the new FastPass Tier System will look like this:

Tier One

  • Toy Story Mania
  • Slinky Dog Dash
  • Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Fantastmic!
  • Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage

Tier Two

  • Disney Junior – Live on Stage
  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
  • “For the First Time In Forever” – A Frozen Sing-Along
  • MuppetVision 3D
  • Star Wars – The Adventures Continue
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid

What does this mean for guests? It looks like Toy Story fans will only be able to choose one of the Toy Story rides for a FastPass while waiting in line for both of the others. However, this change also drops Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster down to Tier Two, which will make many guests happy.

At this time, these changes are not official because they have not been confirmed by Disney. However, you can be sure that as soon as it’s confirmed we will let you know.
