Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is offering hope for a third National Treasure movie with Nicholas Cage!
Bruckheimer recently participated in a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread and was asked about the possibility of working with actor Nicolas Cage again. The legendary producer then revealed that the pair are actively working on a script for a third National Treasure.
“Absolutely. I love Nicolas,” Bruckheimer wrote, “he’s a brilliant actor and we are currently working on a script for National Treasure.”

Nicholas Cage led the cast of the National Treasure movies as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a descendant of a family of treasure hunters who explores the country in the search for valuable items connected to various US historical figures. Alongside Cage, the main cast for the first two National Treasure movies included Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel, with Sean Bean acting as the villain of the first film and Ed Harris as the antagonist of the sequel.
