Exciting news from EPCOT! Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new permit for the construction of Test Track 3.0, marking another significant transformation for the popular attraction. The permit, filed on July 18, 2024, contracts Jon Richards Company to “install set elements” at Test Track’s location, 1440 Avenue of the Stars.

Established in 1990, Jon Richards Company has a strong track record with theme park projects, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney California Adventure, Tokyo DisneySea, and Universal Orlando Resort. Recently, they installed new signage for the Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom.

The reference to “set elements” suggests new scenery and thematic features for Test Track 3.0. This reimagining will draw inspiration from World of Motion, the original EPCOT attraction that Test Track replaced. Chevrolet continues as the attraction’s sponsor, with some of their cars displayed outside during construction.
