Closed Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Coaster Catches Fire at Universal Studios
Emergency crews were on the scene Friday morning, battling a fire that broke out at the former Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster. Photos and videos confirmed the incident, showing firefighters actively working to extinguish the flames on the structure.

The attraction, which permanently closed to the public on August 18, was in the process of being decommissioned to clear the area for a future project.
At this time, it is unclear how or why the fire started. Officials have not yet released a statement on the cause.
