Holiday Decorations Begin to Deck the Halls at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and CityWalk
The holidays are starting to make their merry way into Universal Orlando Resort! On a recent visit, we spotted festive decorations beginning to pop up all around Islands of Adventure—and even over at CityWalk—as the resort gears up for the start of Holidays at Universal, which kicks off November 21.

Inside Islands of Adventure, Christmas spirit is already on full display in several key locations. The Islands of Adventure Trading Company, the park’s main gift shop near the entrance, is now draped in lush garlands and twinkling lights overhead, creating a cozy welcome for guests.

Even the displays inside are showing a festive flair, with themed trees and Christmas touches across various Universal brands—including some Super Nintendo World holiday merchandise making an early appearance.

Over in Seuss Landing, the Whos are getting ready for “Grinchmas” in a big way. Both the All the Books You Can Read and Mulberry Street Store have added colorful wreaths, tinsel, and Christmas trees straight out of Whoville.

Guests can already find plenty of Grinchmas merchandise, including plushes, apparel, and the return of the cheeky “The Nice List is Overrated” shirt that’s sure to make even the Grinch crack a smile.

Meanwhile, in Hogsmeade, Honeydukes has begun its own sweet holiday transformation. Inside the beloved candy shop, pine garlands, pink bows, and whimsical winter touches have been added above the shelves of chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. The decorations blend seamlessly with the shop’s vibrant teal walls, giving the space a magical (and delicious) holiday glow.

Outside the parks, CityWalk is also starting to shimmer with the season. The entrance sign and several of the retail kiosks are now decked with garlands, ornaments, and even a few displays selling brand-new holiday merchandise.

As the resort continues its festive prep, guests can expect the holiday cheer to expand rapidly across both parks in the coming weeks, from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to New York and Hollywood and beyond. The full celebration will officially begin November 21, bringing back all the fan-favorite festivities including Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.
