Holiday Character Floats return to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Holiday Character Floats return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Holiday’s are going strong at Walt Disney World. Over at Animal Kingdom, we got a chance to see all the decorations, plus the Merry Menagerie today. Also spotted was the Holiday Floatilla’s. Santa boat, Mickey and Minnie boat, and the Donald, Daisy, Scrooge Holiday Float, are all running daily on the Discovery River.

The three floats going around the river look great and are very festive. Santa is boating around with a flotilla decked out in snowflakes and a red border, with 2 pigs holding lights on the front. In the barge, he has a sack of toys and is surrounded by pinwheels. He had a great Ho Ho Ho and was waving at all the kids.

Mickey and Minnie’s flotilla is updated for the 50th, and the characters feature Christmas outfits in an international style. Minnie with a red scarf and Mickey in a red shirt. I think Pluto is the best one on this boat. His new collar is decked with holly, and he has a Christmas ribbon.

Daisy and Donald look great, with reversed colors from each other. Daisy in a green shirt and a red coat, and Donald in a red shirt and a green coat. Both characters have holly on them in some way. My favorite is Scrooge. Who could forget him as Ebenezer Scrooge in Mickey’s Christmas Carol, so seeing him dressed for the Holidays gives me that feeling. Their Holiday Character Floats is the Dino one, but with holiday bunting around the whole boat.

The Holiday Character Floats run on the Discovery River from 9:15 am and run until 5:00 pm. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a great stop for the holidays and a bright spot. I would recommend stopping on any bridge and waiting to see your favorite. If you listen to our IG posts the kids around us were super excited to see Santa coming down the river.
