Even though the exterior of The Haunted Mansion has been currently under renovation and behind a scrim, hiding what’s going on beneath it, the ride has been running as normal. However we’ve seen a few stories pop up lately saying the Haunted Mansion will be closing at the end of November for a few days for refurbishment.
We called Disney to confirm, and we were even told by a cast member that it looks like the Haunted Mansion will be closed for “most of November”….so while we don’t have any specifics on what that means, we do have confirmation that the ride will be closed from Nov 28-Dec 1 , with the possibility of a longer closure being announced as we get closer to that timeframe.
You can view a current list of Walt Disney World refurbishments for September here.
Will you return to fill the request for room for “one more”?

I am going the first week of November, I do have fastpasses so I do hope they will remain open during my visit. It’s one of my top 3 favorites! I almost wish they would do the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay like they do at Disneyland, but then again I only visit once every 18 months so I do want to see my favorite untouched tried and true ride as it’s always been. I hope they will add the Hatbox Ghost in like they did at Disneyland! He’s my favorite haunt of them all.
