Disney’s Animal Kingdom Harambe Market to Change Menu to Hamburgers and Chicken Nuggets
Walt Disney World has confirmed a series of significant changes for Disney’s Animal Kingdom as the park prepares for its upcoming Tropical Americas expansion. These updates include the permanent closure of DinoLand U.S.A., a strategic menu shift for Harambe Market, and an altered refurbishment schedule for Kali River Rapids.

The final day for much of DinoLand U.S.A. will be February 1, 2026, with the area closing permanently on February 2. This closure will include the popular DINOSAUR attraction, along with Restaurantosaurus and The Dino Institute Shop. The Boneyard play area was the first to permanently close in September, and construction walls are now up, marking the beginning of the land’s transformation.
In response to the closure of Restaurantosaurus, Harambe Market will be changing its menu to accommodate guests. The dining location will close for a refurbishment sometime this winter to prepare for a new menu that will include popular American fare like hamburgers and chicken nuggets, with these new options becoming available in early 2026.
The closure will also impact the operating schedule of Kali River Rapids. The popular water ride will alter its annual winter refurbishment schedule and will now be closed from October 6, 2025, until sometime before the permanent closure of DinoLand U.S.A. This strategic shift is designed to ensure guests still have access to a major thrill ride during a key phase of the park’s transition.
