Halle Bailey in Tears For Her Own Little Mermaid Ariel Doll
Halle Bailey, star of the upcoming Little Mermaid live-action remake, has been turned into a doll. Bailey shared her excitement in a video on Instagram, brandishing the newly inspired toy bearing her likeness. She goes on to say in the video before holding up the doll, “I have something really exciting to reveal to you all. I am gonna cry.”

In the video, Bailey goes on to say, “I am literally choking up because this means so much to me. And to have one that looks like me and that’s my favorite Disney character is very surreal. And look! She even has my mole – see!”
“I’m just stunned,” Bailey said. “I don’t quite know what to do with it, but I’m gonna steal this and take it home and hide it forever.” Bailey was overcome with emotion and excitement, seeing herself as a toy. The new Little Mermaid doll is from Mattel and will hit the shelves this spring in anticipation of the upcoming film, which will hit theaters on May 26, 2023.

The Little Mermaid is directed by Rob Marshall. Bailey stars as Ariel, with Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric.
