Hall of Presidents Lobby Reopens, Trump Update Still Pending
Good news for Magic Kingdom visitors battling the Central Florida heat this weekend: the Hall of Presidents lobby quietly reopened yesterday! While the main show is still undergoing its refurbishment, the return of the lobby means guests can once again step into an air-conditioned haven and escape the scorching temperatures.

Step inside the Hall of Presidents lobby, and you’ll find it largely unchanged since the attraction closed its doors in January. Guests can once again take in the historical artwork, presidential portraits, and exhibits that highlight pivotal moments and figures in U.S. presidential history. Plus, the benches and seating are still there, offering a cool, shaded spot to take a break.
The Hall of Presidents officially closed for refurbishment on January 20, 2025. Many have been expecting an update to include a figure of President Donald Trump after his return to office. However, Disney hasn’t yet announced when the attraction will reopen or what specific changes we can expect to see in the show.

The Hall of Presidents has a long-standing tradition of closing for updates after each new president’s inauguration. For instance, following Joe Biden’s inauguration as the 46th president on January 20, 2021, Disney promptly closed the attraction to incorporate his animatronic. It then reopened on August 3, 2021, featuring a speech by Biden. Similarly, during Donald Trump’s first term, the attraction closed on January 17, 2017, and welcomed guests back on December 18, 2017, with a speaking role for Trump’s figure.
