Hacksmith Industries Creates First Retractable Real Life ‘Star Wars’ Lightsaber. The Force is strong at Hacksmith Industries! The folks at Hacksmith Industries have made it their goal to recreate some of the most impressive tech from beloved sci-fi films, video games and television shows in real life.
The maker group became increasingly popular after they began creating many Marvel based items such as Captain America’s Shield, Thor’s Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, and variations of Iron Man suits. Recently, a common goal for Hacksmith Industries has been to create a real life Star Wars lightsaber. Beginning with proto-sabers, but neither fans or the creators wanted to stop there.
In October, Hacksmith Industry introduced the first ever retractable Plasma Proto-Lightsaber that closely resembles the first iteration of lightsabers featured in Star Wars legend. Hacksmith Industry has also gained a Guinness World Record for the project!
