H.R. Bloodengutz Brings the Gore to Halloween Horror Nights 2026 with New Original Haunted House
Halloween Horror Nights fans are about to tune into one terrifying final broadcast. Universal Orlando has announced H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, a brand-new original haunted house coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Florida.

The house will invite guests into a twisted television special hosted by the infamous H.R. Bloodengutz, a fan-favorite original character with a long and gruesome history at Halloween Horror Nights. According to Universal, guests will experience a curated collection of Bloodengutz’s favorite Halloween tales filled with ghouls, gore, and the kind of nightmares that keep fans coming back year after year.
For longtime HHN fans, this announcement marks the return of a legendary character first introduced in the 2011 haunted house H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror. Behind the makeup is Lawrence “Larry” Kurtzberg, a former Broadway performer who reinvented himself as a late-night horror television host. As his popularity grew, so did his obsession with fame, eventually leading him down a dark path of madness, murder, and imprisonment. Horror Nights lore later revealed that Bloodengutz escaped prison to host one final broadcast, setting the stage for this year’s haunted house. The character has also appeared in Welcome to SCarey: Horror in the Heartland and recently expanded his gruesome legacy through Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas.
The new house becomes the second original haunted house announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, joining the previously revealed house featuring iconic HHN characters Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow. It also joins the growing lineup of intellectual property houses, including Sinners and the final season of Stranger Things.
