We will start our journey this year at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where the famous life-sized Gingerbread House is marking its 24th year. This grand spectacle is studded with over 10,000 pieces of gingerbread and decorated with edible ornaments like white chocolate candy canes and sugar poinsettias. Among these sweet wonders, an 85 lb. chocolate Santa stands proud, surrounded by nutcrackers and snowmen, all brought to life by the talented hands of Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer’s team. With 500 hours dedicated to baking and another 480 to decorating, this creation is a true labor of love. Embedded within its walls are 24 hidden Mickeys, challenging visitors to a merry scavenger hunt.

As you’re enticed by the aromas, a bounty of freshly baked treats tempts you further:

Just a short journey away, the newest addition to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort makes its debut—a gingerbread lighthouse crafted to precision by Pastry Chef Michael Craig, using the real lighthouse blueprints as his inspiration. This beacon of sweetness guides visitors to the Holiday Pop-Up Shop, where the exclusive Lighthouse Fudge offers a taste of novelty.

Finally, we round out our tour at The American Adventure pavilion in EPCOT, where from Nov. 24 through Dec. 30, a patriotic display awaits. This exhibit pays homage to America’s landmarks with gingerbread renditions of the Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and the iconic buildings of EPCOT itself, including the Regal Eagle Smokehouse. Amidst the festival marketplace and the scent of gingerbread, visitors can engage in another hidden Mickey hunt, with six to find within this historic panorama.

This year’s gingerbread displays at Walt Disney World Resort are once again a heartwarming journey through creativity and festive spirit. Whether you’re savoring a bite of gingerbread or searching for hidden Mickeys, these displays are sure to sprinkle extra magic on your holiday season.
