As we’ve shared previously, the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort has begun a phased reopening. The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort remain closed and will reopen at a later date. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park remain closed and will reopen at a later date, pending state and local government approvals.
Guests may be receiving email communication from Disney if they have a Disneyland Resort hotel reservation between now and Aug. 29, 2020, letting them know they may modify or cancel their Disneyland Resort hotel reservations or Walt Disney Travel Company packages.
Disney is waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through August 29, 2020. Some package components are nonrefundable and subject to third-party operator cancellation policies. You should work directly with any third-party operators you have used to book any parts of your vacation package that were not booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company, including flights, travel protection and car rentals.
This is a pretty good sign that Disneyland won’t be reopening before the end of the month.
