Guest Caught on Video Jumping Onto Paint the Night Parade Float at Disneyland

A shocking video has surfaced showing a guest leaping onto the Cars-themed Mack float during a performance of the Paint the Night parade at Disneyland. The unauthorized encounter, which was captured by nearby onlookers, shows the guest making contact with the moving float before security intervened.

The Cars Electric Roadway Jam serves as one of the opening acts of the Paint the Night Parade. In the captured footage, a guest is seen darting out from the sidelines and leaping onto the passenger-side doorstep of the massive Mack truck float.

After posing for a quick photo, the individual jumped back into the crowd, causing the parade to come to a complete standstill for several moments. A security team member is seen entering the frame shortly after the incident, and according to the original poster, Disney officials were able to locate the individual responsible for the disruption.

The Paint the Night Electrical Parade originally debuted at Disneyland Park in 2015 as part of the resort’s 60th-anniversary celebration, drawing inspiration from a predecessor that ran at Hong Kong Disneyland from 2014 to 2020. After its initial Disneyland run concluded in 2017, the parade moved across the esplanade to Disney California Adventure for a successful 2018 season. Following a multi-year hiatus, it returned with several modern updates in May 2025 to commemorate the park’s 70th anniversary.

The parade’s recent history hasn’t been without its challenges. In September 2025, a fire broke out on the Little Mermaid float mid-route, leading to an immediate evacuation of the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the production team managed to successfully stage a modified second performance of the parade later that evening.
