Disney World Guest Pronounced Dead After Medical Episode at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground

A guest at Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground died on Tuesday morning after experiencing a medical episode.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident, stating that there are “no signs of foul play.”

Police responded to a “person down” call at 7:32 a.m. ET in the Cottontail Curl loop of the campground. The call was reportedly later updated to “dead person.”

In a statement the Sheriff’s Office clarified the situation: “A man in his 60s experienced a medical episode and was transported to a local hospital, where unfortunately he died.”

No further details about the individual have been released at this time.
