Get ready to groove! Epcot’s popular attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, is set to celebrate a special, one-day-only event on September 21, 2025. In a unique nod to the classic Earth, Wind & Fire hit “September,” the ride will exclusively play the iconic song for the entire day.

This limited-time soundtrack change is a direct tribute to the song’s famous opening lyric, “Do you remember the 21st night of September?” For this special occasion, the usual randomized playlist of six songs will be replaced, with “September” playing on a loop for every single ride cycle. This gives guests the rare opportunity to experience the thrilling roller coaster with a guaranteed soundtrack of funk and disco.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is known for its “Awesome Mix Tape,” which features a rotating playlist of classic ’70s and ’80s hits. Riders normally don’t know which song they will get, adding an element of surprise to each trip. The playlist includes songs like “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps, “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls, and “One Way or Another” by Blondie, among others. However, on September 21, “September” will take the spotlight, creating a truly memorable and highly anticipated event for fans.
