New Grumpy Statue and Photo Op Debuts at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course
Disney World golfers have a new reason to smile… even if Grumpy might not! Walt Disney World Golf has unveiled a brand-new Grumpy statue and photo opportunity at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, giving guests a fun new way to commemorate their round while tackling one of the course’s toughest stretches.

The statue now stands proudly at the entrance to “Grumpy’s Gauntlet,” the challenging four-hole stretch spanning holes 14 through 17. The area was introduced during the recent reimagining of Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course and takes its name from the famously pessimistic dwarf from Disney’s classic 1937 film, Snow White. Positioned beside the 14th tee, the new statue creates a memorable photo spot before golfers take on the demanding section of the course.
Disney fans will want to look closely at the details hidden within the statue. Grumpy is holding a 7-iron as a tribute to his fellow dwarfs, and eagle-eyed guests may also spot a vintage-style golf ball featuring the year 1937, honoring the release of the beloved animated classic.
To celebrate the addition, Walt Disney World Golf has also launched a new line of Grumpy’s Gauntlet merchandise. Guests can find themed golf balls, towels, pin flags, long-sleeve shirts, and other souvenirs featuring Grumpy and his iconic warning that “there’s trouble a-brewin’.”

The new statue arrives while Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course remains closed for a lengthy renovation project that began earlier this month. While golfers wait for that course to reopen, Magnolia continues to offer fresh experiences and new reasons to hit the links at Walt Disney World.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best score or just looking for a unique Disney photo opportunity, Grumpy’s Gauntlet now offers a little extra character along the fairway.
