The 13th Great Irish Hooley Music Festival Rocks Labor Day Weekend
It’s time for the “Countdown to Hooley” at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant! Get ready for the 13th annual Great Irish Hooley, a roots revival music festival that kicks off Friday, August 29, and runs through Monday, September 1, 2025.

This year’s festival features a lineup of seven top Irish bands, hailing from Glasgow to Belfast, and Galway to Tipperary. They’ll be taking over the indoor and outdoor stages at Raglan Road, filling the air with a mix of traditional jigs and ballads, Neo-Folk, Celt-grass, and pop tunes.
Here’s a look at the incredible talent you can expect to see and hear throughout the weekend:

- Strings & Things This fresh, high-energy Neo-Folk band from Tipperary is back for an encore performance. They’ll be mixing traditional and folk music with a modern twist and will even be introducing their new 2025 track, “On the Brink.”
- Bridín A contemporary folk harpist, singer, and composer from County Sligo, Bridín is a fourth-generation Irish musician. She has won multiple All-Ireland titles and was an RTÉ Folk Awards Nominee. Her unique style is deeply rooted in traditional Irish music and is influenced by her natural surroundings.
- Plain Sailin This dynamic four-piece band from Clare and Offaly blends traditional Irish tunes with contemporary genres. The group, featuring Ronan O’Connell, Seamus Kinsella, Darragh Cuddihy, and Graham Lynch, creates a vibrant and signature Irish sound.
- Men of Aran These two legends of the Irish traditional music world, Colin Farrell and Dave Curley, are known for their sublime musicianship and electric energy. They have toured and performed with numerous Irish music luminaries and are sure to charm Raglan Road audiences.
- The Byrne Brothers This multi-award-winning family band and Irish dance troupe from Donegal, Ireland, is a fan favorite. The band includes brothers Luca, Finn, and Dempsey, along with their father, Tommy. They’re known for their infectious humor and a powerful performance that includes uilleann pipes, accordion, banjo, and more.
- Bean an Tí An exciting new band from across Ireland, Bean an Tí is made up of multi-award-winning singers, musicians, and dancers who met at University College Cork. Ruby Falvey, Iona Ritchie, Éabha Breathnach, and Gráinne Ahern entertain audiences with their traditional take on both old and new Irish tunes.
- Northern Crossing Hailing from Glasgow and Belfast, this traditional Irish music ensemble features Hannah McNeill and Niall McIlroy. Both are accomplished musicians who deliver an exciting and memorable live show.

More Than Just Music
In addition to the incredible bands, the Raglan Road Irish Dancers will be kicking up their heels and defying gravity with their award-winning choreography. On Sunday and Monday, they will even lead guests in an Irish ceili (KAY-lee) dance right in the pub!
Of course, no Hooley would be complete without some fantastic food and drinks. Raglan Road will offer its favorite beers, cocktails, and whiskeys, along with its full menu of authentic Irish dishes. Expect to see fan favorites like the Pork Schnitzel, classic and veggie Shepherd’s pies, the OMG Burger, and, of course, the signature crispy beer-battered Fish and Chips.
The festival will also feature the weekend Rollicking Raglan Brunch, available at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. On Labor Day Monday, the pub will open at 10 a.m. with its All-Day Menu and brunch specials, including The Full Irish, Hipsters Lament, and Bread Pudding French Toast.

The Great Irish Hooley—a Gaelic word for a lively, family-friendly party—begins Friday at 4 p.m. and continues through Monday’s closing time.
