Golden Oak at Walt Disney World is about to open its fifth neighborhood. Golden Oak is Central Florida’s most-expensive new residential development, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The homes in Golden Oak have starting prices of $1.6 million with midpoint prices between $3 million and $4 million in the community. The neighborhood will share access with a Four Seasons Resort that is scheduled to open in 2014.

“We’ve been delighted by the positive response over the past 24 months,” said Page Pierce, vice president of Disney Resort Real Estate Development.

The custom builders in the new neighborhood are Cahill custom builders, Goehring & Morgan Construction, and Issa Homes. The homes in this neighborhood will start at $1.7 million. The architecture will be inspired by European and Caribbean influences, and the houses will range in size from 3,800 to 4,500 square feet.

The developers will initially release 19 lots in Marceline, which was named for the Missouri town where Walt Disney grew up. Each lot is approximately a quarter acre.

When this project began in October 2010, the prices there exceed those of any other new Central Florida communities. Early in 2012, sales prices in the neighborhood were averaging about $530 a square foot.
