Gideon’s Bakehouse, located at Disney Springs, is presently shuttered due to an ongoing issue with its air conditioning system.
The main outlet for the renowned Gideon’s cookies was temporarily closed as of yesterday, and based on the latest information, it is anticipated to remain inaccessible until September 1, 2023.
However, the original quaint store situated at the East End Market on Corrine Drive in Orlando continues to operate under normal conditions.

Hi. This update is no fun, but here we are.
The temporary portable AC units are not adequately cooling the store today. The shop is empty with ovens off, yet the temp is still pushing 100. The fried AC part is out of stock until late September, so the next stage is to completely replace the AC unit, which was installed only a few months ago! Given that it’s the size of a car, it will take some planning. Please send positive thoughts to the universe that it can get done tomorrow night. In the meantime, Gideon’s at Disney Springs will likely be closed on September 1.
Everything will launch tomorrow per usual, but Gideon’s at East End is the only game in town until we’re back on track.
