Ghirardelli at Disney Springs Moves to Temporary Location as Construction Begins on Old Location

Construction Walls Go Up Around Original Ghirardelli Location at Disney Springs

Construction walls have now gone up around the original Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop in the Marketplace, marking the start of its extensive refurbishment. The themed construction walls feature Ghirardelli branding and direct guests to the company’s temporary location in Town Center, ensuring visitors can still satisfy their chocolate and ice cream cravings while work continues.

The signage also confirms that the iconic Disney Springs location is expected to reopen sometime in 2027. While Disney has not announced a specific reopening date, the walls promise guests that the shop is “working up some new magic” before welcoming everyone back next year. In the meantime, guests can visit the temporary Ghirardelli location at the waterfront building in Town Center, the former home of Sprinkles and CrazyShake by Black Tap, conveniently located near T-REX and Morimoto Asia.

Although the temporary location is now serving Ghirardelli’s famous sundaes, shakes, and chocolate treats, the original Marketplace location has long been a favorite stop for Disney Springs visitors. Many fans are eager to see what upgrades await when the refreshed shop returns in 2027.
