Marvel’s First Family Joins the Breakfast Table: Fantastic Four-Themed Cereal Boxes Fly into Stores
It’s clobberin’ time… in the cereal aisle!
General Mills is giving breakfast a superpowered boost with the launch of limited-edition cereal boxes inspired by Marvel Studios’ upcoming film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Just in time for the movie’s theatrical release on July 25, this heroic crossover blends classic General Mills mascots like Lucky the Leprechaun and Buzz the Bee with Marvel’s First Family, and the result is a deliciously nostalgic fusion of fandom and flakes.

- Fantastic Four-Themed Boxes – Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and REESE’S PUFFS are all getting Fantastic Four makeovers, styled with a retro-futuristic ‘60s flair that pays homage to the film’s vibe and the team’s comic book origins.
- Trix Meets H.E.R.B.I.E. – The Trix Rabbit shares the spotlight with the Fantastic Four’s lovable robot assistant, H.E.R.B.I.E., in a Kroger-exclusive box that’s sure to be a fan favorite.
- Galactus Gets Cereal – Walmart-exclusive Cocoa Puffs boxes will feature none other than the devourer of worlds himself, Galactus. Talk about a cosmic crunch!
- Retro Lucky Charms Collectible – A vintage-inspired Lucky Charms box — seen in the film itself — will drop online July 22 on Walmart.com. This collector’s item includes a Johnny Storm-themed prize and will only be available while supplies last.
This breakfast-sized crossover is the latest in a series of Marvel x General Mills collabs. Past favorites include “Loki” Charms, “Guardians of the Galaxy” cereal boxes, and a heroic Wheaties release for Thunderbolts.

Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps transports fans to a stylized 1960s universe, where Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) must defend Earth against Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and the mysterious Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). Directed by Matt Shakman, this adventure promises action, heart, and high-stakes heroics — with a little breakfast nostalgia on the side.
So grab a spoon and suit up — these boxes are already rolling out nationwide. Whether you’re Team Cheerios or Team Cocoa Puffs, one thing’s for sure: this summer, your cereal shelf just got a lot more fantastic.
