Gantu, Hamsterviel, & Angel Crash the Party for 626 Day 2025 at Magic Kingdom!
It’s not every day you see a spacefaring genetic experiment, a galactic shark, a scheming hamster, and a pink lovebug all busting a move together in the Florida sunshine—but that’s exactly what went down at Walt Disney World! 626 Day 2025 brought some seriously rare character chaos to Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, and fans of Lilo & Stitch were living their best Ohana lives.

This year’s 626 Day—named after Stitch’s experiment number—wasn’t just about our mischievous blue alien. For the first time ever, Captain Gantu, Dr. Hamsterviel, and Angel (aka Experiment 624) all joined the party! These intergalactic icons made a surprise landing at the Rockettower Plaza Stage for the “Tomorrowland Galactic Blast” dance party, part of the park’s Cool Kid Summer lineup.
While Stitch and Angel are no strangers to the stage, Gantu and Hamsterviel are practically legends for how rare they are to spot in the parks. Gantu, despite not appearing in the new live-action Lilo & Stitch, still made a big impression—literally—while Hamsterviel, with his signature red cape and villainous squeaks, charmed longtime fans of Stitch! The Movie and the animated series.
Here’s what went down:
- 11:00 a.m. – The party kicks off with high-energy dancers in all-new galaxy-themed outfits.
- Shortly after – Stitch and Angel beam onto the scene to boogie with the crowd (no autographs or selfies though—just groove time).
- Mid-morning – Captain Gantu stomps into action, showing off some surprisingly smooth moves.
- By noon – Dr. Hamsterviel scampers in, rounding out the rare character squad for the day.

Characters came and went for breaks, but the dance party kept pulsing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., electrifying Tomorrowland with music, energy, and enough Stitch power to short-circuit a spaceship.
This event was a one-day-only affair, so if you blinked, you missed it! But fingers crossed, this kind of interstellar surprise becomes a new 626 Day tradition at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
