Full details for Disney+ Day coming to Walt Disney World

Disney+ Day is almost here! This newer Disney holiday returns to Walt Disney World for its 2nd year tomorrow September 8th. Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios can enjoy special entertainment, character appearances, and Disney+ giveaways.

When guests enter Hollywood Studios they’ll receive complimentary Disney+ Ear Hats, Disney+ buttons, and select PhotoPass downloads. Disney+ subscribers and their party will be able to enter the park 30 minutes before opening.

Guests visiting the park will also get to enjoy special Disney+ motorcades. Those will take place at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:40pm, 2:50pm, 3:50pm and 5:10pm. Characters that will be part of the motorcades include Mickey & Minnie, Tiana, Mirabel, Rescue Rangers, and Pixar Pals.

Specialty characters will also be out for guest interactions! R2-D2 will be at the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Garage, Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers at the Adventure Outpost, and Goofy & Max outside the Chinese Theater.

If you’d like to celebrate the day with a dance party, head over to the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy courtyard! A Lightning McQueen Dance Party with a live DJ will celebrate Pixar’s Cars.

Also, in celebration of Disney+ Day, on Sept. 8 only, guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Hotels of the Disneyland Resort (with valid admission and a reservation) will have the opportunity to enter the parks 60 minutes before regular park open.
