Psssst…..Hey it’s Anonymouse here with some Disneyland gossip! Shhhh don’t tell anyone, but I hear that there are some major chilly changes coming to Disneyland this fall!
Rumor has it that to accommodate the demand for Anna and Elsa, the sisters are taking over a section of Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure. A meet and greet will be set up at or around Stage 17 (near Monsters Inc.) and the Muppet 3D Theater will be turned into a FROZEN sing a long! It’s possible that an ice skating rink will be set up in the area and FROZEN themed merchandise and food carts will also be new fixtures in the area. I am not sure if the current meet and greet in Fantasyland (next to Pinnochio’s Village Haus Restaurant) is moving OR if they are just adding a second one in DCA. Recent changes to the current meet and greet have discontinued the stand-by wait and fast passes are now given by castmembers in the morning until they have been depleted for the day. There have been a few bumps but I hear that it’s going more smoothly as time goes on and the days of 4+ hour stand by wait times are a thing of the past, which is definitely a positive!
Anonymouse and company are not quite sure how we feel about these changes, but we know that FROZEN is still in high demand and a HUGE money maker for Disney, so we do see the appeal of more access to character meet and greets with the sisters, as well as additional attractions that focus on the movie.
Now for a sad rumor that I hope is NOT true! I hear that the end of September is bringing the elimination of “face” characters to Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. The characters that will remain are of the “furry” variety. This makes us sad because we all love to interact with different characters during these types of dining experiences, don’t we? I sure do!

Sadly me and the family went this last monday (Oct 6) to Goofy’s Kitchen and while it’s always fun to see Chip, Dale, Pluto, Minnie and of course Goofy I was kind of bummer that there wasn’t a little variety like last time. Sure it’s fun to see those characters in kitchen attire but last time we got to see Baloo, Aurora, Snow White, Chip and Pluto. So no more princesses this time :/
