If you’ve seen the Disney•Pixar film Coco, you will have noticed that the highly-esteemed Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was featured quite heavily when Miguel ventured over to the Land of the Dead. Due to the movie’s popularity, it is not surprising that the Mexican Pavilion is paying homage to Frida Kahlo during Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts celebration!
Just outside the main building where the margarita stand used to be is an interactive exhibition that allows visitors to strike a pose, Frida Kahlo style!
The mini-display provides a really cute photo op for kids of all ages complete with Frida’s signature floral crown and unibrow.
As we reported earlier this month, the Mexican Pavilion has also added a few magical Coco-themed touches to the display cases found inside the Pavilion’s pyramid. It’s definitely worth checking out as you make your way around the World Showcase.
