Disney Cruise Line has announced Eraise Thompson as the new Island Environmental Manager. Thompson’s job is to help Disney Cruise Line cut down on air pollution, save water, and make less trash. She’s also going to teach other crew members on the island how to help with these green efforts.

Eraise is thrilled to join Disney. She shared, “Being from The Bahamas, I love our oceans and wildlife and can’t wait to help Disney meet their strong environmental goals. This work will help our local area a lot.”

Before joining Disney, Eraise spent almost ten years working on health, safety, and environmental projects. She was an environmental specialist at Grand Bahama Power Company. Eraise has advanced degrees in environmental safety and health, and biology, making her well-equipped for her new role.

Disney Castaway Cay’s director, Earle Bethell, is happy to have her onboard, noting her track record of running successful environmental programs.

Disney Cruise Line is excited to have Eraise Thompson as part of the team, ensuring the beauty of The Bahamas is protected for generations to come.
