Freeform, the Disney/ABC Television subscription, and on-demand channel is continuing to show a commitment to high-quality youth programming. The network’s panel “Freeform’s Youth Movement”. The ABC Signature studios production “grown-ish” is returning for a third season. The show follows the ensemble cast through their college years at CalU. Currently in its second season, “grown-ish” takes the number one spot on cable for comedy in the women 18-34 category. The show aires at 8p.m. EDT/PDT on Wednesdays.
“Party of Five” has been picked up by Freeform. The rebooted family drama show has updated to a contemporary storyline addressing an issue of today. The show will follow the lives of the five children of the Acosta family as they live the day to day after their parents are deported to Mexico.
Catch the April 4th premiere of “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger”. The show will premiere at 8 p.m. EST/CST on April 4th with a 2-hour presentation. The Marvel show focuses on two teens and their struggles as they find themselves linked together with their newly found powers. The teen characters are from very different backgrounds and must learn to use their superpowers together. “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” stars Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson. The show is not afraid to tackle more serious subjects affecting society today.
“The Bold Type will be returning for a third season this April. The third season will pick up where season two left off as viewers continue to experience the ups and downs of life in New York City with Jane, Kat, and Sutton. Tune-in for the premiere April 9th at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
Finally, there is a new show to look forward to. Starring Jordin Sparks, Matt Shively, and Brooks Brantly, the title of the show has yet to be released. It is currently using a working title of “Besties”. The new comedy series is being produced by ABC Signature Studios.
