Bob Chapek Lists Luxury Mansion Just Weeks Before Disney CEO Shakeup

Just weeks before the leadership baton at The Walt Disney Company officially passed to Josh D’Amaro, former Disney CEO Bob Chapek quietly put his Westlake Village estate on the market. Chapek purchased the contemporary property in 2021 for $12.5 million during his short and turbulent run as CEO, and it is now listed for $14.995 million, giving the timing a little extra Disney drama magic.

The gated six-acre property was built in 2013 and spans nearly 10,000 square feet between a four-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom guest house.

According to the listing, the home reads like a greatest hits reel of luxury living with a custom mosaic tiled pool and spa, waterfall and koi pond, outdoor living room and kitchen, private gym, library, movie theater, and a five-car garage. The listing agent describes the home as an “absolutely exquisite contemporary showplace,” which feels very on brand for a former Hollywood power player.

The price tag does not stop at the nearly $15 million asking price. Future owners will also inherit $983 per month in HOA fees. Chapek served as Disney CEO from early 2020 through late 2022 before being dismissed by the board, which brought back Bob Iger in a high profile corporate reset. Chapek reportedly received a severance package valued at more than $20 million, making this mansion listing one more interesting footnote in a very eventful Disney chapter.
