Florida Resident Celebrates 106th Birthday at Walt Disney World

In a remarkable celebration at Walt Disney World, 105-year-old Magnolia Jackson, inspired by a captivating performance at a college football game, marked her 106th birthday in a practically perfect way. Last fall, as she watched her beloved Bethune-Cookman Wildcats, Drum Major Mickey’s performance sparked her interest in Disney, leading to her decision to celebrate her next birthday at the resort. This became a reality as she stepped into Magic Kingdom for the first time, greeted by the sight of Cinderella Castle, cheers from Disney cast members, and a special welcome from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, complete with cake and balloons.

The celebration was especially memorable for Jackson, the oldest living graduate of Bethune-Cookman, featuring a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday” by the Disney cast, evoking smiles and happy tears.
