There’s surprising news about Sigourney Weaver’s role in the upcoming Avatar sequel.
As revealed in Empire’s upcoming world-exclusive Avatar: The Way Of Water issue, Sigourney Weaver is playing an entire new character in this film. Instead of playing Dr. Grace Augustine, Sigourney Weaver is returning to play a Na’Vi character named Kiri and she’s the adopted teenage daughter of Jake and Neytiri.
While the reveal of Weaver’s role brings up all kinds of other questions about The Way Of Water, we will need to wait to see more details about the plot.
