Fireworks Viewing Locations

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom is a truly spectacular way to end your fun-filled day at Walt Disney World. Of course, the Magic Kingdom fireworks are even better if you have a great spot to view them. Many families begin searching for their perfect fireworks viewing location an hour or more before the fireworks even start. So, just where can you find these great locations to view the show?

The Tomorrowland Terrace is by far the best location to view Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. However, the only way to secure this fabulous location for the show is to attend the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. The party includes a buffet of delicious treats including pastries, cookies, and chocolate-covered strawberries, as well as hot and cold beverages. In addition to these tasty snacks, you’ll have a great view of Tinkerbell as she flies towards Tomorrowland. The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party does require a separate party ticket.

Another great fireworks viewing location at Magic Kingdom is the second floor of the Main Street train station. In order to claim a great viewing spot here, you will want to arrive early.  The train station will also provide a wonderful view of Magic Kingdom’s nighttime parade. I recommend arriving about an hour prior to the parade’s start and staying through the fireworks. This will give you unique second-story view of the parade and a perfect view of Wishes.

Almost anywhere on Main Street, U.S.A. is another great fireworks viewing location. The corner next to Casey’s provides a nice view of Wishes. Any spot in the middle of Main Street will also give you a nice view of the castle and fireworks. However, you will want choose a location a little ways back from the castle. When viewing the show from close in front of the castle, the view of some of the fireworks will actually be blocked by Cinderella Castle.

  1. Those are also great places to watch the fireworks! Thanks for sharing! I remember watching Wishes from the side of the carousel once. It was neat to get a new perspective on the show!

  2. We actually enjoy watching them in Frontierland/Liberty Square on the little walkways by the “River” that the steamboat is on. Also behind or to the side of the carousel right before the entrance to new fantasyland are AWESOME places and not very crowded.
