Guests staying at EPCOT area resorts between November 27th and December 2nd will note Fireworks Testing after the park closure
If you’re planning to stay in one of the hotels near EPCOT next week, we’ve got some exciting news for you. Walt Disney World is gearing up for something exciting, and it looks like you might get a sneak peek!

From November 27th to December 2nd (but not on December 1st), fireworks and special effects will be occurring at EPCOT. The testing is scheduled to start around 10:30 p.m. each night other than Thursday, which will begin a bit later due to Extended Evening Hours. Testing each evening will wrap up by 1 a.m.
The following resorts are most likely to be impacted by the testing:
- Walt Disney World Swan
- Walt Disney World Dolphin
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney Boardwalk Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort

While Disney hasn’t officially said so, it’s pretty clear that these tests are for the new fireworks show, “Luminous: The Symphony of Us,” which is set to debut on December 5, 2023.
