A Fire Erupts on Festival of Fantasy Parade in the Magic Kingdom…

Today’s Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom came to an abrupt halt when the Maleficent dragon float caught fire. Per photos of people at the scene, the fire looks like it started when the float was making its way through the Park’s Liberty Square area. More specifically between the Hall of Presidents and the Christmas Shop.

We have seen reports that the Cast Member operating the float made it out safely. At this time, we do not know when the Festival of Fantasy parade will resume operation.
