Loved by preschoolers, enjoyed by parents, and on my TV every morning the shows from Playhouse Disney are entertaining and also educational. Teaching little ones teamwork, problem solving, and so much more.
One of my daughters favorite shows while at Walt Disney World is Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage. It is a scheduled 22-minute live show performed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, providing preschoolers the chance to sing, dance and play along with popular Characters from Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney shows.
Last time we were at Disney World we saw this show at least 5 times. I honestly lost track between that and the Little Mermaid. The show starts out with you seated on the floor and then the theme song for Mickey Mouse Club House starts playing. Your are introduced to a cast member who takes you on your journey. The main story Mickey and the gang has to get ready for Minnie’s birthday but they don’t know how. They team up with some of their friends from the other Playhouse Disney shows to learn about how to prepare for her party. I am trying not to give away to much for those who haven’t seen it.
The three shows that are represented on stage along with Mickey Mouse Club House include:
Handy Manny
Little Einsteins
My Friends Tigger and Pooh
The story book opens and you are magically transported into each TV Show. The look on the children faces is priceless. Each time we went we sat in a different location. One time we sat in the very front trying to get close to the stage. I would not recommend sitting here unless you have to. You are very limited on what you can see cause the stage is so tall. Also another bad spot is on the side of the stage, we missed out on a lot of the characters due to being seated there.
The back drops for the stage are great. I especially loved Rocket from Little Einsteins. Rocket has working lights and everything. Very cool.
We found the best seats in the house were at the very back. You can see the whole stage with no issues and since most people are pushing towards the stage your not so packed in. Also when the bubbles & various other things fall from the ceiling sitting in the back we got plenty of mementos to take with us.
I think my daughters favorite character was Tigger. When he asks all the kids in the audience to bounce was hysterical!
After you make your way through the three stories and learn how to prepare for Minnie’s Birthday you are taken back to Mickey Mouse Club House to put those ideas to work. Wait till you see what happens when Minnie shows up.
Overall the experience was great..It is a good family show that really gets you and your little ones involved. Remember sit in the middle towards the very back if you want the best seats. Be sure to have fun and sing along with all the songs. Oh and one more thing have fun your at Disneyworld!!!
